Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan covers 3 documents per month - you can use the product end-to-end without entering payment details.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Subscriptions run month-to-month and you can cancel from the billing portal with one click. You keep access until the end of the period.
Is Exchange included with every plan?
Yes. Free includes 2 active cases, Pro includes 10, and Team includes 50. The $19 Exchange plan includes 250 active cases and 3 internal operators for organizations that need vendor coordination without an automated-remediation allowance. External vendors are restricted case participants, not internal seats. Remediation labor is not included in any software plan.
Is accessibility program intake included?
Yes. Every plan can create a revocable workspace intake link, route requests, share private status, and retain release evidence. A file submitted through intake uses the same monthly remediation allowance as a direct upload. The Exchange plan can coordinate requests that provide a source URL or need specialist work, but it has no automated-remediation document allowance. See how Program Management works.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
New uploads pause until the next monthly reset or until you upgrade. Existing documents, hosted pages, downloads, and edits remain available. We do not apply automatic overage charges.
Is website PDF monitoring included?
Yes. Free includes 1 website and 20 actively monitored PDFs, Exchange includes 1 website and 100 PDFs, Pro includes 3 websites and 250 PDFs, and Team includes 10 websites and 2,000 PDFs. Additional discoveries remain visible as waiting inventory but are not fetched for recurring checks until a slot is available. There are no automatic overage charges. On Free, Pro, and Team, converting any selected discovery into a private draft uses the same monthly document allowance as an upload and never publishes by itself. Exchange is monitoring and operations only, with no automated remediation allowance. See how website PDF monitoring works.
Why is there a document limit?
A two-page memo and a long, image-heavy report require very different processing. Clear monthly and file-size limits keep the service predictable while we gather enough real usage data to introduce fair volume add-ons.
Is this PDF/UA compliant?
We generate a PDF/UA-aligned structure tree, document language, metadata, and tagged figures with alt text. Automated checks cannot certify complete PDF/UA or WCAG conformance; validate important documents with PAC or veraPDF plus a manual screen reader review before publishing.
Will the generated PDF keep my original design?
Not exactly. The automated PDF is rebuilt from the extracted, accessible content structure, so columns, spacing, pagination, forms, or other visual details can change. If the original PDF must retain its exact appearance, a specialist must remediate that source PDF manually. DocAccessible agency work is billed separately at $5 per accepted source page for projects above 500 pages. Smaller projects can use the platform or an independent Exchange vendor.
Do I get both the PDF and the HTML version?
Yes, on every plan. The hosted accessible HTML page is published automatically in minutes; a rebuilt PDF/UA-aligned tagged PDF is generated from the same remediated block structure. Both contain the same core content, but neither promises a pixel-identical copy of the source PDF. The HTML version is usually the better reading experience for public-facing content: it loads faster, ranks in search, reflows on mobile, and lets screen readers navigate semantic markup. See the full comparison.
Where does my document go?
Uploads are stored in your workspace's object storage (S3-compatible). Your hosted HTML page lives on docaccessible.com under a URL you control, with visibility set to private, unlisted, or public. You can unlist or delete it any time.
