At a glance
This worksheet keeps the evidence behind a priority decision visible. It asks for the reader’s task, actual impact and use evidence, current source, proposed route and responsible owner. It supplies no automatic legal score, invented usage data or price derived from a complexity label.
Different next actions can be useful before anyone starts remediation.
| Document | Reader task | Priority | Next action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Example application | Apply for a service | Essential task | Confirm and test source |
| Example archive | Historical reference | Await owner decision | Confirm current publication need |

Agree on a small set of priority categories
Use categories the team can explain and revisit. For example, essential task, current high-use information and awaiting owner decision. Unknown use should remain unknown until an owner or measurement provides evidence.
Keep legal applicability and retention decisions in the appropriate review process. This queue helps coordinate work; it cannot decide exceptions or statutory duties. Link to actual supporting records rather than adding unsupported confidence scores.
- Delete the fictional examples and agree on priority categories with your team.
- Use actual task, use and reader-barrier evidence; do not infer it from file size.
- Keep owner decisions and legal applicability separate from operational priority.
- Route sampled complexity to further review, not automatic pricing.
- Revisit the queue when sources, requests or publication needs change.
Assign a route after an initial review
A source-authoring fix, reviewed HTML alternative and specialist PDF repair solve different requirements. Record the proposed route and what must be verified before work starts. Signed sources and forms can need particular handling.
Use page counts for capacity once scope is selected. Group identical sources for source work while retaining all publication URLs. Review a pilot set and update handling-time assumptions with actual evidence rather than estimating a schedule from a sampled complexity label.
Make the queue a maintained record
Every item needs a current owner and a concrete next action. Revisit priorities when a source changes or a reader reports a barrier. Completion should point to a delivered revision and review evidence in the handoff or publication record, rather than deleting the row.
Worksheet fields
The records sheet has 10 columns. Keep a stable ID and source evidence when sorting or extending it.
| Column | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Record ID | Stable work-item ID linked to the source ledger. |
| Document | The current source to review. |
| Reader task | What a person needs to accomplish. |
| Impact evidence | Consequence of a barrier; cite real feedback or service evidence. |
| Use evidence | Known current use, analytics or owner confirmation; unknown is valid. |
| Current source | Confirmed revision or owner review needed. |
| Priority | Your explainable category, not a legal applicability score. |
| Proposed route | Authoring fix, reviewed HTML, PDF specialist or owner decision. |
| Owner | Responsible team. |
| Next action | Review, correction or scheduling action with evidence. |
