0:00Clear the document backlog.

  • Check, remediate, and review documents. Publish the right version and monitor the PDFs on your website.

0:11Count what you have

  • You cannot fix what nobody has counted. Scan any domain free to find its public PDFs.
  • Connect one observe-only script for a live inventory that flags changed files.

0:25Upload once, choose the output

  • Upload a PDF or DOCX. Automatic stages rebuild its structure and write image descriptions.
  • Then choose: keep the original layout, or rebuild the layout. Your original is never touched.

0:42Fix it beside the page

  • Each finding sits next to the page it affects, with only the controls you need.
  • Your draft is re-checked as you go. Moving on never clears a finding by itself.

0:57The exact version, live

  • Approval binds to the exact version that was reviewed. A later edit cannot inherit it.
  • Publish accessible HTML. Readers can report a barrier straight into your feedback inbox.

1:13Work with vendors safely

  • Hand work to a vendor through a case, not an email thread. They see the assignment, never your workspace.
  • Compare the returned revision, decide each requirement, and deliver one approved file.

1:29Everything the document touches.

  • Built around the standards your team answers to: WCAG 2.2 AA · PDF/UA · Section 508 · ADA Title II · EN 301 549

1:43Automation reduces the work. People still review.

  • Conversion quality is measured, not implied. Automated checks never certify WCAG, PDF/UA, ADA or Section 508 conformance, and every finding that needs a person stays visible.

1:52Start with three remediation documents a month.

  • No card required. Watch the guides next: Remediation · Website monitoring · Exchange

0:00Remediate a PDF, start to finish.

  • Upload a document, let the pipeline repair its structure, review every finding, and download an accessible copy you can stand behind.

0:14Upload your PDF

  • Every PDF follows one journey: upload, review, download. It starts in PDF remediation.

0:20Open PDF remediation

  • From your workspace, open PDF remediation in the sidebar under Review and improve.
  • The page tells you the journey up front: Upload, Review, Download.
  • Your plan allowance is visible before you start: file size and documents left this month.

0:42Drop one PDF

  • Drop one PDF, or click to choose it. Files up to 50 MB are accepted.
  • In production, every upload is scanned for malware before any parsing begins.
  • Your original stays private and intact. Every later change is saved as a separate copy.

1:05Let the pipeline work

  • Processing runs on its own worker. You can leave the page; it keeps going.

1:10Fifteen stages, one run

  • Text, layout, images, tables and links are pulled into one structured model of the document.
  • AI writes image descriptions. A separate pass then checks the structure against your original page by page.
  • The run ends with a tagged PDF, an accessible web page, and a scored audit.

1:40When a run fails

  • Scanned pages get text recovery first. Anything unreadable is flagged, never guessed.
  • If a run fails you see why, with Retry processing one click away.

2:00Choose your output

  • Keep the page appearance you already have, or rebuild the layout. Your original is never touched either way.

2:06Keep it, or rebuild it

  • Keep the original layout makes a retagged copy. Headings and reading structure change; the page looks the same.
  • Rebuild the layout makes a new tagged PDF from the reviewed content. Spacing and page breaks can change.
  • Both create a separate PDF. If layout preservation fails, you are told. It is never silently swapped.

2:38Review with guidance

  • Findings sit next to the page they affect, one at a time, with only the controls you need.

2:43Fix it where it happens

  • Review your PDF shows the page on the left and the current finding on the right.
  • Here a heading jumps from H2 to H4. Change its role to Heading 3 right on the page.
  • The draft autosaves and is re-checked. Moving to the next item never clears a finding by itself.

3:15Descriptions and deep tools

  • Image descriptions written by AI are proposals. Accept, edit, or mark the image decorative.
  • Advanced tools open the full tag tree, reading order, deterministic checks and an AI visual review.
  • Use Check reading order when a page has columns, sidebars or callouts.

3:45Download, approve, publish

  • Save an exact version, download it, get it approved, and publish the accessible web page.

3:51One exact, saved version

  • Prepare download confirms your output and builds an immutable copy in the background.
  • Keep working. Processing jobs and the completion indicator lead back to the exact result.
  • Downloading the same saved PDF again never creates another version.

4:19Approval bound to a version

  • Files & version history keeps the immutable original and every saved PDF. Restore any of them.
  • Request team approval. The decision attaches to the exact version that was reviewed.
  • A later edit creates a new version, so it can never inherit an earlier approval.

4:49Publish the accessible page

  • Every document also becomes an accessible HTML page: responsive, semantic, readable on any device.
  • Choose Private, Unlisted or Public, then publish the reviewed version.
  • Need to share outside the workspace? Create an expiring viewing link, with an optional password.

5:19What you now know

  • Upload one PDF. Your original stays private and intact.
  • Fifteen automatic stages build structure, descriptions and checks.
  • Keep the original layout, or rebuild it. Nothing is silently swapped.
  • Fix findings beside the page. Moving on never clears them.
  • Download an exact saved version. Approval binds to that version.
  • Publish accessible HTML, private, unlisted or public.

5:36Start with three remediation documents a month.

  • No card required.
  • Automated checking and remediation reduce accessibility work. They do not certify WCAG, PDF/UA, ADA or Section 508 conformance; qualified human review is still required.

Website PDF monitoring

Find the PDFs your website forgot

5:56 · Captions on screen · No narration

Count your public PDFs with the free scanner, connect one observe-only script, build a live inventory, triage alerts, and publish reviewed accessible alternatives.

Read the full transcript

0:00Find the PDFs your website forgot.

  • Count every public PDF, keep a live inventory, notice when files change, and publish reviewed accessible alternatives without handing your site to an overlay.

0:14Count your PDFs

  • You cannot fix what nobody has counted. Start with the free scanner: no account, nothing to install.

0:20Scan a domain

  • Open the free Website PDF scanner and type your domain.
  • Click Count them. The crawler reads your homepage and sitemap, then follows links to collect documents.
  • It opens the most-linked documents and checks what is inside each one.

0:44A real number, with evidence

  • The report counts the public PDF files linked from every page the crawler could reach.
  • It shows what automation can prove: missing tags, titles and language. Everything else is marked Needs a person.
  • Every row has a Convert button when you are ready to fix it.

1:08Connect your website

  • One script, installed once. It only observes where PDF links appear on your pages.

1:13Connect a website

  • Open Website monitoring. Your plan's websites and monitored PDF allowance are shown up top.
  • Enter the domain. The apex domain and www count as one website.
  • Click Connect website. It appears in your list with Setup needed until the script reports in.

1:37One line, before </body>

  • Copy the installation code and place it once in your site template, before the closing body tag.
  • It is observe-only: no visitor identity, cookies, form values or page content are collected.
  • A first report starts verification. DocAccessible confirms the exact website key before any PDF is checked.

2:05Build the inventory

  • Every PDF your pages link to, normalized, checked, and kept with its history.

2:11Every PDF, with evidence

  • Duplicate URLs are normalized. Each PDF keeps every page where it appears.
  • Eligible PDFs are fetched safely, malware-scanned, and checked with the same audit and veraPDF validation as the checker.
  • Each card shows an automated score, open findings, and what still needs manual review.

2:38Know what changed

  • Open History on any PDF. Every check is kept as an immutable record.
  • Pick a base and a candidate check, then Compare to see new and resolved findings.
  • A new file hash always creates a fresh check. An old result is never reused for a changed file.

3:04Triage and monitor

  • One inbox across every connected website, with alerts that never act on your behalf.

3:09The monitoring inbox

  • Open alerts surface what changed: a source PDF, a failed check, or a script that stopped reporting.
  • Filter the portfolio, select PDFs, and act in bulk: acknowledge, check again, assign an owner, or snooze.
  • Export evidence as CSV for your program records, scoped honestly as automated evidence.

3:39Cadence and alerts

  • Choose how often PDFs are rechecked, down to your plan's minimum, and when a silent script counts as a problem.
  • Pick which conditions create alerts, and who gets them by email.
  • Alerts never convert, remediate, or republish a PDF on their own.

4:03Convert and publish

  • Turn a public PDF into a private draft, review it, then publish an exact approved version to visitors.

4:09From public PDF to private draft

  • Convert to accessible draft imports the PDF into your workspace and runs the normal remediation pipeline.
  • The draft stays private. Review it exactly as you would any uploaded document.
  • Detection is not publication. Nothing reaches visitors until you decide.

4:33Publish deliberately

  • Publish viewer maps this exact PDF link to one exact, completed document version.
  • Release checks must pass, and you confirm two plain statements, including that automation does not certify conformance.
  • The card now reads Viewer live, pinned to an exact version.

5:02The accessible view

  • On your site, the PDF link gains a View accessible document button. The original link stays.
  • It opens a keyboard-accessible dialog with the approved HTML and a link to the original PDF.
  • A plain limitation notice tells readers what automation can and cannot claim.

5:28What you now know

  • The free scanner counts public PDFs with no account.
  • One observe-only script builds a live inventory.
  • Every check is kept; changed files get a fresh check.
  • One inbox for alerts, bulk triage and evidence export.
  • Convert selected PDFs into private remediation drafts.
  • Publish a viewer only for an exact, approved version.

5:45Monitor one site free.

  • One domain and 20 monitored PDFs. No credit card required.
  • Monitoring produces automated evidence for prioritization. It does not certify WCAG, PDF/UA, ADA or Section 508 conformance; manual review is still required.

Exchange

Manage vendor remediation in one case

5:56 · Captions on screen · No narration

Open an Exchange case, invite a vendor with scoped access, collect one outcome per document with PAC reports, review the returned revision, and deliver one approved file.

Read the full transcript

0:00Manage vendor remediation in one case.

  • Keep the source file, vendor access, returned revisions, reviewer decisions and final delivery together. Vendors see the assignment, never your workspace.

0:14Open a case

  • A case replaces the email thread: one document handoff, one owner, one accountable record.

0:20Everything in flight

  • Exchange lists every case with its status, due date and priority.
  • The tiles show what needs you: Awaiting QA, Due in 3 days, Overdue.
  • Start a New case, or Import CSV to create up to 100 draft cases at once.

0:44Create the case

  • Start from a playbook so instructions and acceptance requirements are reused, not retyped.
  • Set the title, target standard, priority, and separate vendor, QA and delivery due dates.
  • Name a case manager and a reviewer, then create the case.

1:12Add files, invite the vendor

  • Only the source file is required. The vendor gets a private link to this case, and nothing else.

1:17Sources and requirements

  • Add documents to remediate. Each file becomes its own vendor work row.
  • Add reference material: source packages, brand guides, screenshots. Vendors consult it but never return it.
  • The playbook's five acceptance requirements define what done means.

1:43Scoped, revocable access

  • Under Vendor access, enter the specialist's email, name and company.
  • They get an email with a private link to the vendor portal for this case only.
  • Access lasts 30 days and you can revoke it at any time.

2:07The vendor's side

  • A private portal that walks the specialist through exactly what this case needs.

2:13The vendor portal

  • The portal shows one next step at a time, starting with Accept assignment.
  • Download package gets every source document and reference file in one ZIP.
  • A Scoped access panel tells the vendor exactly what this link opens, and when it expires.

2:39One outcome per document

  • For every source, the vendor chooses: Already accessible, or Remediation completed.
  • A remediated PDF requires the returned file and its PAC report. Replacing the PDF requires a new report.
  • Every upload is kept as an immutable revision, with its SHA-256 fingerprint.

3:09Mark done and send

  • When every row and check is ready, the vendor uses Mark done and send.
  • Uploads lock, and the case owner is emailed that the revision is ready for review.

3:31Review the revision

  • Compare the source with what came back, decide requirement by requirement, and approve one exact file.

3:36The review workspace

  • Source and Returned revision sit side by side with shared page navigation.
  • Each acceptance requirement shows the vendor's evidence. Pass it, or request changes with a note.
  • A comparison is not certification. The workspace says so on screen.

4:06Approve one exact file

  • Revision intelligence compares file identity, PDF structure facts and evidence activity between revisions.
  • Approve revision selects that exact file as the deliverable and locks the acceptance requirements.
  • Download review summary exports the decision record, with the file's SHA-256.

4:32Deliver and follow through

  • Send one approved file with limits you control, and let the action inbox keep every case moving.

4:38Deliver with limits

  • Secure delivery sends the approved file to a recipient, with an expiry and a download limit.
  • Recipients see the approved document, downloads remaining, and its SHA-256. You can revoke the link anytime.

5:02The action inbox

  • The Action inbox shows each case's next required action and who owns it.
  • It flags vendor inactivity, evidence awaiting review, and requested resubmissions before they stall.
  • Email stays quiet: important handoffs, plus one daily summary.

5:28What you now know

  • A case holds sources, requirements, vendor and deadlines.
  • Vendors get a private, revocable link to one case only.
  • Each document gets an outcome; remediated PDFs need a PAC report.
  • Review side by side and decide requirement by requirement.
  • Approve one exact revision and export the review record.
  • Deliver with expiry and download limits; the inbox keeps it moving.

5:45Exchange starts at $19 a month.

  • Or try two active cases free on any plan.
  • Comparisons, validator reports and approvals document your review. They do not certify WCAG, PDF/UA, ADA or Section 508 conformance.
